BronyCon Welcomes Comic Artist Sara Richard
(BALTIMORE) - While on the way to BronyCon’s July 27-29 event, the scenery while traveling can be spectacular for those who take the time to look. Comic book artist Sara Richard creates similar imagery in her line of work, and we’re excited to announce that she is the next Guest of Honor for this year!
Richard is best known as a cover variant artist for IDW’s “My Little Pony” comic book series. She has designed more than 70 different cover variants for the series alone, including a variant cover for “MLP:FiM” #12 to celebrate one million issues being printed. Only one copy of the special cover exists, and it sold for more than $6500 at auction.
Outside of “My Little Pony,” Richard has also provided variant comic book cover designs for the “Bob’s Burgers,” “Rick and Morty,” and the “Jem and the Holograms” series. She is also the illustrator for the 2013 Eisner-nominated children’s book “Kitty and Dino.”
