Jayson Thiessen is an animated film and television director with twenty years of experience across all aspects of animated storytelling. He is well-known as the supervising director and Co-Executive Producer for the popular hit TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as well as it’s successful spin-off Equestria Girls DVD movies. Recently, he took the ponies on a colossal adventure with the 2017 feature film, My Little Pony: The Movie. As a creative director, Jayson strives to tell memorable, character-driven stories through comedy and epic scope without compromising sincerity or emotional resonance. He also likes long walks on the beach and his favorite color is “Smaragdine.”
